Common Foot Problems

PLANTAR FASCIITIS
Plantar fasciitis is a common foot condition characterized by inflammation of plantar fascia, the thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of the foot. This condition often causes sharp heel pain, especially with the first steps in the morning or after prolonged periods of sitting. Foot orthotics can greatly improve a patient's pain and discomfort when experiencing this condition.

ANKLE INSTABILITY
When someone sprains their ankle, it typically involves the stretching or tearing of ligaments that support the ankle joint. This can occur due to a sudden twist, fall, or impact. Symptoms often include pain, swelling, bruising, and difficulty in moving the ankle. One ankle sprain leaves you at a greater risk of subsequent sprains. Bracing can help! We offer both over the counter and custom bracing solutions.

ARTHRITIS
Arthritis is a common condition that causes inflammation and pain in the joints. It can affect people of all ages and is characterized by symptoms such as stiffness, swelling, and reduced range of motion. A quality, supportive shoe with a custom foot orthotic can provide additional cushioning and shock absorption. We partner with the leading shoe manufacturers to offer you quality shoes at affordable prices, and we fabricate most foot orthotics on site for quick turn around.
OTHER COMMON CONDITIONS
There are many conditions which cause pain in the forefoot. Metatarsalgia, interdigital nerve pain (Morton's neuroma), sesamoiditis, gout, bunions, hammertoes, corns, and callouses to name a few.  Supportive shoes and foot orthosis go a long way to conservatively treat these conditions, and in some cases they are an alternative to surgery.
